Rate-to-earn: Last week of Prime Rating Season 2
With 27 projects rated, and 21 uploaded, we can confidently call Prime Rating season 2 a success. But that’s not all - the 53 raters who have subscribed to season two have until the 7th of March to submit ratings. With currently 15 projects up for review, it is looking like the final sprint will get spiced up!
Recordings from Rating workshops are live
Prime Rating fundamental reports contain five sections, each of which has its challenges for new raters. Even experienced DeFi users and Degens could struggle a bit to understand them; therefore, our Prime Rating Workstream has put together a series of webinars with DeFi Analysis experts to help Raters rate better. 4 out of 5 recordings are now live on youtube, and you can watch them by clicking the button below.
D2D Liquidity Rewards are live
On the 2nd of February, $D2D liquidity rewards were bootstrapped to our liquidity pools: The D2D/USDC (80/20) and D2D/BAL (50/50) pools. By participating in these pools, you’ll get your share of 1% of the D2D — USDC pool and 2.5% of the D2D — BAL pool. Access the D2D / USDC pool and the D2D / BAL pool here.
Community Events
Our discord community was loaded with events in February. We had our first “Talk with friends” with TEC Steward Sebnem Rusitschka on the “Transdisciplinary Art of Token Engineering.” Moreover, our product leads shared what their squads have been up to in the 9th Community Call. In contrast, our Bizdev and marketing squad came together with on public temperature check on what happened at ETHDenver and the forthcoming partnerships.
Regenerating Credit Ratings: A Political economy of Prime Rating
Traditional institutions face a crisis of public distrust, leading to a loss of legitimacy. Everything from banks, governments, administrative bureaucracies, public health institutions down to colleges and institutions of higher learning are slowly having their territory threatened by play-to-learn projects, peer-to-peer finance, and smart contracts. We’ll now see how this revolution threatens credit rating agencies as well by taking a deeper look at Prime Rating.
DAO To DAO Product Updates
Prime Deals
Deals Squad has made good progress on front-end development, completed several components, and sent them to QA. They are also working on the mobile version, aligning the smart contracts with the user experience and interface. Deals Development squad is currently looking for decentralized storage solutions; thus, if DAO2DAO enthusiasts are experienced in it, they will be welcome to collaborate on that side.
DAOplomats call-to-action!
Prime Deals is introducing the “DAOplomat” role: crypto native connectors, relationship proponents, and ecosystem architects - if you identify with that, get in touch! Our squad will happily show you the interface and give you early access to our platform to start bootstrapping your first trustless DAO deals.
Proposal Inverter
The PI is a co-liquidity primitive that allows multiple DAOs to fund a common objective. Minimum viable product features are ready to initiate dogfooding, as described in the TEC forum. Gitcoin and Radicle DAO are interested in collaborating with us, and soon, we will share a formal proposal with the community. Learn more about the Proposal inverter roadmap at our last community call.
Prime Pools
The DAOism Systems development squad has passed a proposal to join the development of Prime Pools and is hiring solidity devs. The team is currently working on tech specs, user experience, and modeling.
$VSTA TGE on Abitrum: A technical post-mortem
Prime Launch development squad has prepared an essential rundown of the issues that led to the Jan 31st incident experienced on Prime Launch during the Vesta Finance liquidity bootstrapping event (LBP). We want users and our community to understand why this event happened and what we are doing to prevent such events in the future. PrimeDAO aims to improve continuously and cannot evolve without a solid commitment to openness, honesty, and accountability. Embodying these standards is a minimum requirement for all positive and significant contributors in the Web3 space.
